--Courtly love, and other fine storylines (e.g., snake blood), along with musical journeys into disciplines ranging from Indian to country to jazz to surf, give these worldly musicians their Eclectic edge.

The individual members of The Eclectic Troubadours are all freelance musicians in New York City who work in a variety of settings.
David Phelps, who draws his guitar sound from the influence of, most notably, Duane Allman, Pat Metheny, and Jeff Beck, is the frontman for the group. David is also a member of Adam Klipple and Drive-By-Leslie (a two-time participant band in the exclusive Jazz Ambassadors Program) and Peter Apfelbaum and the New York Hieroglyphics. Additionally, David has worked with Public Enemy, Jesse Harris, Todd Isler, and Pinetop Perkins, among others. For more information about David please visit his biography and resume page.
The Eclectic Troubadours's debut album, Eclectic, (pictured above) features Scott Neuman on drums, Jim Whitney on string bass, and Michael Belar on keyboards and accordian. More on these musicians and others who have participated in The Eclectic Troubadours is soon to come.
